I spent more than a decade in the health insurance industry, and the whole time something nagged at me: the entire system is built to catch people after they’re already sick. We as a country are good at treatment and terrible at prevention. I kept thinking about how much suffering sat upstream of all that, how many people could have avoided the suffering and diagnosis entirely if someone had just helped them build health before it broke down. I helped build Transformation Health to work on that side of the equation.
I grew up in a loving, balanced home, but purposeful exercise and nutrition just weren’t part of the picture. As a kid I dealt with allergies, metabolic issues, and a habit of getting hurt every sports season. I didn’t know any different. I assumed that was just how my body worked. It wasn’t until I moved out on my own and started changing how I ate, moved, and lived that everything shifted. My mental clarity sharpened. My allergies faded. The injuries that had followed me through childhood healed, and for the first time I felt strong, healthy, and confident in my own skin. That experience lit a fire that hasn’t gone out. For the past fifteen years I’ve kept pursuing it, continually educating myself, testing new programs, strengthening weak points, and treating my health as a practice rather than a project.
That practice got tested a few years ago when a snowboarding accident separated my collarbone from my shoulder. Up to that point, I’ll admit I was chasing vanity metrics: how much I could lift, my body composition, and my mile time. The injury forced me to ask a better question: not “how do I look and perform today?” but “how do I keep this body working for decades?” I rebuilt my approach around functional strength, mobility, cardiovascular health, and overall longevity. The result surprised me. I feel healthier and more capable in my thirties than I did in my early twenties. And I learned the simplest lesson of all: move every single day. Not heroically. Consistently.
Outside of work, my life happens outdoors: trail running, snowboarding, mountain biking, surfing, free diving, and backpacking, to name a few. I want to keep doing them as long as I can, and keep getting better at them for as long as possible. That’s what pulled me into the longevity world, where I follow the work of Peter Attia, Andrew Huberman, and Rhonda Patrick, among others, and put what I learn into practice every day.
The conviction behind this company is grounded in real experience. For more than ten years I worked alongside Rick at Presidio Interactive, holding management roles across every division of the business and learning how to build things that scale. So when the chance came to build Transformation Health, I knew exactly the kind of operation I wanted to help create: one that puts that decade of lessons toward keeping people well, not processing them once they aren’t. This is my passion, and there’s nothing I’d rather be doing.
Transformation Health exists to help people take control of their health so they can live happier, healthier, more fulfilling lives. The problem we’re solving is real: most people were never taught what it actually means to be healthy, and the noise and misinformation out there points them in the wrong direction every day. That’s why we’re committed to quality, science-based information grounded in real evidence, not trends. Our approach is different by design. We’re not interested in keeping patients on medication indefinitely. We use it as a tool while we build something more durable: the nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle habits that let people manage their weight and their health for the long term, on their own terms.
I’ve come to see health as the thing that makes everything else possible. When your body is strong and capable, the future gets bigger: more adventures, more energy, more time doing what you love with the people you love. That’s what drives me every single day, and it’s exactly what we’re building at Transformation Health, a place that gives you the knowledge and support to take control of your health and make the most of the years ahead.
